AeroCool Base System...
AeroCool utilises a factory prefabricated, computer-controlled thickness, rubber Aero Shockpad tile system as its foundation for impact attenuation and precision composition.  This base system offers consistency in thickness, density and resiliency, and thereby a meaningful guarantee of performance.  It aslo provides speed of installation, easily replaceable/extendible sections and boundless application flexibility.

The AeroCool surfacing system is a medium density product consisting of polymetrically bound recycled rubber made from the finest quality rubber and polyurethane. It can be installed as a single layer system or over the Aero base Shockpad. The black wear layer is installed in an attractive brick pattern and all seams are sealed and bonded with a tough, abrasion resistant polyurethane construction adhesive.  Recommended Aero surfacing thickness varies with site specific impact attenuation requirements, ranging from 15mm up to 100mm for fall heights of over 3 metres.

Coating
Colourful AeroCool Coating has been designed especially for Australian conditions.  It is resistant to mould, fungal growth and a wide range of chemicals and is unaffected by UV infra-red radiation and ozone.  The product is fully recyclable, is classified as non-hazardous under Worksafe guidelines. AeroCool is manufactured under a quality system which is certified compliant with ISO 9001 Standards.  AeroCool coating is a heavy bodied, multi-purpose premium grade acrylic membrane fortified with mineral fillers, fibres, microspheres and high quality pigments which exhibit superior qualities of durability, cohesive strength, flexibility and water and weather resistance.

Applications

AeroCool’s main application is for playground rubber surfaces where it reduces surface temperatures and acts as a wear inhibitor, while simultaneously providing vivid colour and artwork. As well as adding excitement to new playground surfaces, AeroCool is ideal for revamping old rubber playground surfaces, either with full colour coverage or partial coverage through individual designs such as bicycle tracks, pathways and animal themes.  Other applications include line marking on rubber sporting surfaces.  This unique product is specially formulated to resist temperature extremes and fight off ultraviolet degradation.  AeroCool coating’s elastic qualities make it ideal for rubber surfaces that experience wide variations in temperature.

Repairs

Most types of surfaces show signs of wear or damage in time.  Small repairs look unsightly. The AeroCool technical team have taken this possibility into consideration. Typically if a synthetic rubber surface starts to wear and breakdown, it will need to be patched or fully replaced at considerable expense.  In the case of wetpour rubber the ‘wet’ polyurethene binders used do not readily adhere to existing cured surfaces.  Because of the AeroCool coating’s acrylic properties and ease of application, additional coloured coats can be applied over existing surfaces and sections of any size can be replaced without fuss

Compliance

The AeroCool surface conforms to Australian Standard AS/NZS 4422: 1996 when site tested.  The product has undergone extensive independent laboratory and in-field testing, with results showing consistent, predictable performance on fall heights to 3 metres and beyond on both the body and seams of the product.

Warranty

The manufacturer  warrants the owner that the protective surface will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of 3 years from the date of installation in accordance with the manufacturer’s  installation specifications and when used for the purposed intended.
